An eSIM, or embedded-SIM, is a digital SIM that’s built into a compatible device, unlike a physical SIM card which needs to be inserted into a device.

When you order an eSIM-ready Telstra mobile plan, we’ll send you a QR code to scan with your eSIM-enabled phone. This downloads your eSIM profile so that you can connect to our mobile network.

This plan includes access to Telstra’s 4G, 4GX and 3G networks. Please note, it does NOT include access to our 5G network.

To access the 5G network, you can take up a Medium, Large or Extra Large plan.

When you exceed your allowance, you can continue to access data at speeds and your speed will be capped at 1.5Mbps. This is typically suitable to stream video in standard definition, listen to music, browse the web and access social media (though some content may take longer to load).It isn’t suitable for HD video, or high speed applications.

Your speed will depend on a range of factors including your device, location, user numbers and download sources and may be slowed further during busy periods. An International Calling and SMS Pack is available as an add-on for $10 per month. You can add or remove it at any time. Includes unlimited calls and SMS from Australia to standard international numbers in Eligible Countries. MMS is not included. 

Eligible Countries are Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, UK, US Virgin Islands, USA and Vietnam.

When you take up this plan, you can get a new mobile number or transfer your current number to Telstra. Monthly credit will be applied from your first bill.

Telstra One Number is a subscription service that allows you to connect a secondary device, such as a cellular-enabled smart watch, to the Telstra mobile network.

An eSIM is a digital SIM technology available on compatible devices. If your device is dual SIM compatible, you can use a physical SIM.

This plan includes 30 minutes of calls from Australia to standard numbers in all destinations. Once you’ve used your 30mins of included calls, you can then add an International Calling Pack to receive additional call minutes to selected destinations. If you don’t add an International Calling Pack or if your destination isn’t included in the calling packs, you will be unable to call this country until your call inclusions reset next month.

You will continue to have unlimited international SMS/MMS to all destinations, even once your 30 minutes of calls has been used.

This plan can’t be used to make calls or send SMS or MMS to premium numbers such as 1900 numbers and some satellite numbers.

As you won’t receive a monthly bill for this plan, you won’t be able to take up our trade in offer in conjunction with this plan.
